Same-sex marriage

I feel that homosexuals should be respected just like heterosexuals are respected because they are human, too. I believe that homosexuals and heterosexuals should be treated equally with the same rights. Homosexuals are just like heterosexuals. When it comes to homosexual marriage, they deserve the same respected and rights when it heterosexual marriage. I feel that people should accept gay marriage and look at in the same views as they look at heterosexual marriage.
When it comes to homosexuals, people agree that they should have the same rights in housing, jobs, public accommodations, and show have equal access to government benefits. When people talk about what rights same-sex marriage should have, that’s when equality stops dead cold. “Stereotype has it that gays are promiscuous, unable to form lasting relationships, and the relationships that do form are shallow and uncommitted.” (Bidstrup/marriage.htm) People have made homosexuals out to be something they aren’t. Homosexuals have relationships just like heterosexual couples have relationships.
“More than half of all people in the United States oppose gay marriage; even thought three fourths are otherwise supportive of gay rights.” (Bidstrup) There are a lot of people in this world that don’t believe in same-sex marriage. “Psychologist tell us that what makes the difference is the love and commitment of the parents not their gender.” (Bidstrup) They feel like gays can’t experience the daily lives that heterosexual experience. Some people believe that gays shouldn’t have the right to raise a family because of the outlook they give society. Most people believe that homosexuals can’t provide a healthy lifestyle for their kids. Since they don’t have half the rights heterosexual couples do, people believe they can’t support their families. Also, how would you tell your children that you’re a Lesbian or Gay? People don’t believe that you should put your children through the harassing at schools and other places they live their lives.
Then there are other people in this world that are for same-sex marriage. Me, personally, I’m all for same-sex marriage. “The values that such gay couples exhibit in their daily lives are often indistinguishable from those of their straight neighbors.” (Bidstrup) Regardless of your sexuality, everyone is just like each other. You should have the same rights, same access to government benefits. I believe that homosexuals should have the same rights as heterosexual have. They can support a family just like heterosexual couples can. The only difference between homosexual couples and heterosexual couples are the genders of the couples. Same-sex marriage should be handed the rights as the same as heterosexual couples are granted with.
I believe that homosexual couples should be granted with all the rights that heterosexual couples are granted. Homosexual’s couples are human, just like heterosexual couples. The only difference in the relationship is the gender of the couples. Most people in this world believe that same-sex couples can’t raise a family. They believe that a child should have a woman for a mother and a male for a father. They say that it will affect the child’s life as it grows up to have homosexuals as their parents.
